Though it's not a city renowned for its tourist appeal, Tirana nonetheless has an experience of its own to offer. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Albanian Alps, the city has a natural appeal to it, however the run down roads and decaying buildings leave a stronger impression of a city in ruin.
