Trying too hard to be an un-tourist
I had this guy who wanted to follow me all the way to Siem reap just to see the Temples of Angkor...his reasoning...everyone talks abouyt it, and it is one of the wonders of the world, says he has been to great wall, grand canyon, and before he dies he wants to see the other wonders....beats me...are there many ... -

I was in Cambodia a couple of years back and I was advised not to go out after dark on my own in Phnom Penh. I found it a pretty safe place during the day though. Siem Reap on the other hand is so touristy that I felt as safe as at home. ... -
