Die Straende von Copacabana und Ipanema sind mit oeffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln gut erreichbar, ebenso der Zuckerhut, das Maracanã (weltgrößtes Fußballstadium) und der Sambódromo, wo der fantastische Karnevalumzug stattfindet. Zu Fuss ist man in wenigen Minuten im Zentrum von Santa Tereza mit seinen Einkaufsläden, Cafés, Kneipen und Restaurants, wo es sich ebenfalls gut ausgehen laesst.
