In der modernen Geschichte stellte es auch eine Basis der angesehenen Truppen der Roten Armee dar, die in Xi'an stationiert waren. So ist das neue Hostel in, und ein Teil von, dem ehemaligen Amt der früheren „Achten Einheit der Armee von Xi'an". Es stellte sich heraus, dass es zu verschiedenen Zeiten auch ein Posten für Untergrundaktivitäten, ein Kontaktbüro der Roten Armee und während der Fünfziger und Sechziger ein Zufluchtsort für diejenigen war, die am Krieg gegen Japan beteiligt waren. Ein Gedenkmuseum befindet sich auf dem gleichen Gelände direkt neben dem Hostel. Wir bieten außerdem einen Abholdienst von dem Fughafen und dem Bahnhof.
