Tina’s Casitas sind 3 Haeusschen in der Region Monteverde, nur 5 Minuten zu Fuss vom Zentrum Santa Elena’s auf einer ruhigen Seitenstrasse gelegen. Auf unserer Terasse mit Garten koennt Ihr mit anderen Weltenbummlern zusammensitzen und den Ausblick auf das Monteverde Reservat und den Pazifischen Ozean geniessen. Wir haben ein Haeusschen mit 3 Doppelzimmern mit Gemeinschaftsbad, ausserdem 2 weitere Doppelzimmer mit Gemeinschaftsbad, ein Hausschen mit 2 Zwei- bis Dreibettzimmern mit je einem privatem Bad und ein Haeusschen fuer vier Personen mit privatem Bad. Natuerlich sind die Duschen warm und Ihr koennt auch eine Gemeinschaftskueche benutzen. Die Moebel in den sauberen Zimmern sind nach Tina’s naturverbundenen Ideen gebaut. Nebenan koennt Ihr essen gehen, einkaufen, Eure Waesche abgeben und telefonieren. Tina’s Casitas ist umweltgerecht gebaut und gefuehrt, was in Costa Rica ungluecklicherweise immer noch eine Ausnahme darstellt. Fast alle Tranporte holen Euch direkt vor der Tuere ab und bringen Euch auch wieder zurueck. Wir helfen gerne mit allen aktuellsten Informationen und Ihr koennt auch alle Touren direkt hier buchen. Also, was wuerde Euch bei uns fehlen, anstatt im Zentrum Santa Elenas zu bleiben? Nur der Laerm vom Strassenverkehr! Wozu nach Monteverde kommen? Natuerlich, um sich vom Nebelwald verzaubern zu lassen. Ihr koennt ueber tropische Pflanzen und Tiere lernen (und sehen), wenn Ihr mit einem ausgebildeten Naturfuehrer am Tage und/oder auf eine Nachttour geht. (Nachts sind andere Tiere aktiv) Im Froschhaus oder im Schlangen-und Reptilienhaus, im Orchideengarten und im Schmetterlingsgarten, auf einer Kaffeetour oder Goldtour etc. koennt Ihr Euch von so manchen ungeahnten Dingen beeindrucken lassen, die Ihr so schnell nicht wieder vergessen werdet. Spass? Oh ja!!! Auf den Canopy Touren mit ihrer groessten Anzahl von hoechsten und laengsten Ziplines fuer den besten Preis in Costa Rica bekommt Ihr einen guten Adrenalinstoss! Von den Haengebruecken koennt Ihr den Nebelwald von hoch ueber den Baumwipfeln betrachten. Auf einer Pferdetour mit gutgehaltenen Pferden koennt Ihr mit Kapuzineraffen spielen. ++Tina hat ein Baumpflanzprojekt, um wenigstens einen Teil der pazifischen Seite Costa Ricas, die weitestgehend abgeholzt ist, wieder aufzuforsten. Das ist sehr wichtig fuer z.B. einige bedrohte einzigartige Vogelarten, wie z.B. der Quetzal oder der Glockenvogel, die momentan durch die Abholzung nicht mehr genug Futter finden.++

Camino Verde B&B is a “Bed and Breakfast” style lodging opened in 2009 and located on the edge of Santa Elena. The B&B is laid out in the style of a family house and guests are encouraged to treat it as their home. The building was in fact once the owner\'s family home which gave inspiration to this \'Tica House\' designed hotel. The B&B is situated a 5 minute walk from the town centre of Santa Elena, but is far enough away for it to be quiet and have more rural surroundings. This is the perfect option for those who crave the quiet side of the countryside but who require the amenities provided in a town. Facilities... Camino Verde B&B comprises private rooms which sleep 2 to 4 guests. Four of the rooms have shared bathroom facilities and the rest are en suite. For the rooms with private bathroom the prices are $25 for one person, $35 for a double, triple $45 and quadruple $55. Rooms with shared bathroom costs $15 for a single and $20 for a double. All prices include breakfast and tax. Camino Verde backs onto Tina\'s Casitas and is run by the same people, which offers even cheaper private rooms and dorms ($6). There is a kitchen and a communal area here which B&B guests are welcome to use. Here there is a computer with internet connection, plus Wifi is available for guests with routers in the communal areas of both the B&B and Tina\'s Casitas. Breakfast is free for all guests and is served from 6am until 9am. However the staff are very flexible and an earlier breakfast or packed-breakfast can be arranged if you have an early morning tour, just give them prior warning the evening before. There are three options for breakfast: the first is the typical Tico dish of eggs, rice and beans and toast; the second is fried or scrambled eggs with toast; the third is a fruit platter served with toast. Real coffee and orange juice is also available for every guest. Check-out time is 10am but guests are welcome to use the communal areas all day if they have a late bus to catch. Camino Verde also offers a luggage storage service. The friendly staff on reception are also experienced tour agents so can give out impartial advice on all the local companies. Furthermore they can share their countrywide knowledge of Costa Rica and organise any ongoing travel. Upon arrival at the hotel they give all guests a map of Monteverde and mark out all the different tours and activities that various companies offer in the area. This way guests learn about what is available to them and can suss out how long they might like to stay for. Birdwatcher’s Paradise Lodge ist die beste Wahl fuer Naturliebhaber, die nicht mit dem Massentourismus in Monteverde konfrontiert werden wollen. Hier koennt Ihr wohnen und am selben Ort tropische Voegel beobachten. Die ruhige Lage auf der 1,3 Hektar grossen ‘’Finca Cielo Verde’’ (Finca Gruener Himmel) ist wunderschoen. Vogelliebhaber koennen sich direkt von der grossen Terrasse aus ihrem Hobby widmen. Auf der Finca gibt es unangetasteten Wald, sowie wieder aufgeforsteten Wald, niedrigeren Wildwuchs, Kaffee -und Bananenpflanzen und viele Blumen. Auf unserem Pfad koennt Ihr Tukane, Trogone, Quetzale, den Glockenvogel, Mot Mots, Manakine, Papageien, Colibris, Toledos, Geier, Bussarde, Spechte, Schmetterlinge und andere dieser gefluegelten Schoenheiten mit ein bisschen Glueck beobachten. Fuer uns ist es immer noch eine Ueberraschung, dass tagsueber oder nachts Saeugetiere wie Agoutis, Waschbaeren, Opossums, Fuechse, Stinktiere oder Fledermaeuse sogar bis ans Haus kommen. Die Finca Cielo Verde und die naehere Umgegend ist ein besonderes Gebiet, wo sich eine Menge Voegel aufhalten, weil weiter unten in Richtung der Pazifischen Kueste die Waelder schon abgeholzt sind. Von unserem Wanderweg aus gibt es auch einen Aussichtspunkt zum Pazifischen Ozean. Nur 10 Minutem vom verkehrsreichen, staubigen und touristischen Zentrum Santa Elena’s entfernt, seid Ihr trotzdem nah an den anderen Attraktionen von Monteverde. Die meisten Tour-Anbieter holen Euch direkt am Eingang von Birdwatcher’s Paradise Lodge kostenlos ab. Das 36 qm grosse Haus ist ganz neu und mit einem kuenstlerisch- rustikalem Touch gebaut. Ihr koennt eine voll ausgestattete Kueche benutzen. Die Toilette ist von der warmen Dusche getrennt. Im Schlafraum haben wir 2 Doppelbetten und ein Einzelbett. In der Sitzecke mit einem costaricanischem Kamin fuer die kuehleren Naechte des Jahres kann man sich es nach einer langen Wanderung gemuetlich machen. Die Lage von Birdwatcher’s Paradise Lodge ist fuer Monteverde besonders. Sie ist windgeschuetzt, weit genug weg von der staubigen Schotterstrasse und deshalb freundlich warm und ruhig im Vergleich zu den anderen Unterkuenften in Monteverde.
