I booked Che lagarto using this page and it was 11.40 dollars per night. When I got there they told me to pay 32 Brazilian reals + 5R$ for internet. I don't know what kind of currency course they have. At that time 11$ was about 21R$. Be carefull when you book this hostel in different currency. They'll charge you more! ... more

What a gold nugget this place really is! Soon after reaching Salvadore the owner gave us a full hour run down of the activities, sites, dos and don'ts.
