A nice apartment in an old, very narrow street. You could barely pass the worst sections (160 cm) even with a small car. Advisable to hire a parking space for the car in the basement garage, available at extra fee. Large roof terrrace with plenty of cafe tables and chairs, nice Etna and ocean views from here. ... more

The appartmant is Ok if you are expecting something simple but correct. Breakfast is rather simplified. Good location for north side of Etna, not much tourist. Not much to do in the evening don't expect many restaurant in the area especially mid season. ... more

Some of the most favorite spots to go to Sicily are Cefalu, Palermo and Monreale, Agrigento, Ragusa, and Taormina. I think this is doable for a week and surely you can enjoy each of these places in a day. ...

I don't know these areas very well, I only came across calabria, and I visited sicily 15 yaers ago. in any case, I can suggest about tropea (calabria) and, for sicily, palermo,(and zingaro natural reserve on the coast near the city) ragusa ibla, the old city), agrigento (temple valley), Taormina, erice, monreale ...
Rome etc...

President Hotel Splendid

Very friendly and helpfull staff. Italian only T.V. of no use but the hotel advertises Sky which we could not get. Delighted with balcony and bedroom. Nice breakfast but bar at night not great.
