Koh Chang is an island in the Gulf of Thailand and is the second largest island in the country. It is located southeast of the capital Bangkok, not far from Cambodia. The name means Elephant Island, which refers to the shape of the island.

Too expensiv for this accommodation (700 Baht for one night, breakfast Not included). There are essentials, but very pure! No wardrobe, but a TV! The food is bad, the owner isn't friendly. It is not clean. Around this area it is noisy because Lonely Beach is party zone. I cannot recommend that! No Beach, but a Garden view. ... more

It was great in terms of location and accommodation. The chubby woman at the reception was a bit strange. She sold me and my boyfriend tickets for the speedboat to to Koh Mak for too much money and was a bit slow.     Koh Chang is nice - it's one of the most "jungle" islands I've been to in Thailand. It also has a lot of activities to do if you want to hike or something like that. Lonely Beach is prob more relaxed and chilled out than White Sands... but it just depends what you are looking for. I was there for 4 days ...
