In 1753 this changed when Dr Richard Russell suggested that a swim in the sea would be good for Londoners' health, and that Brighton would be the ideal place for it.

First of all this property is in a fab location. The property is tatty but our bedding was clean. The rooms are small and rooms 8 and 9 that we occupied had the bath or shower in the actual bedroom and a small room was added to accommodate the toilet.
