We came in late and there was a mix up in the rooms, but he admitted his fault, very apologetic and managed to sort it our within minutes. went the extra mile to ask if we needed anytinh for dinner.Very beautiful and believe what you see in the internet. Duke Hostel

I enjoyed my stay at Duke. Dori and his staff were friendly and attentive. He ran a tight ship while not being stingey. He has to make a profit after all. I loved the bright colours of the building inside and out and the convenience of the location for travellers arriving by train or bus was good, just a short walk. ... more

On our NZ travels this was probably the best place we stayed. Mainly due to the owner Dory, we had free pies and pasteries when we arrived and 2 for 1 beers. Nothing was too much trouble. Excellent.
