I want to first start this review out by saying I am a bit biased when it comes to anything in Puno--I really didn't like the city. However, Camino Real was a lovely place to stay. Staff were friendly and helpful, our rooms were cleaned daily, and hot water was always available. ... more

Good hostel, hot showers, close to the centre and the harbour. However do not arrange bus transport here, they charged me more than double for a bus ticket to Arequipa and we almost missed the bus because the person that went to get the tickets forgot them at home. ... more

Can anyone recommend a nice place to stay in Puno for a couple of days? Something around $15-$20 a night (so around the point where hot water is guaranteed, a notch or two above really "budget" places)? We'd chosen the Miski Wasi Inn at first, but they don't reply to our emails, and aren't bookable ...
