It's about an 8-10min walk to the main of town (depending how fast you walk!) but if you want some supplies there is a supermarket about 100 meters from the apartment and a few restaurants too. I didn't find there was much in Pula to enjoy. You are better off spending time in Rovinj. There coast west of Rijeka, near Opatija is fairly nice. Rijeka is a bit dirty, except for the main town center. After all, it is a port city like Pula. I found that these areas are where German tourist go ...
