Friendly, helpful staff and a nice touch to have free access to the computer/internet in the lobby area. Room could have done with a lick of paint and the carpet looked like it should have been replaced ten years ago (covered in stains). ... more

MEININGER Cologne City Center

Hostel had a good and central location. My room felt a bit cramped (small). The ensuite bathroom with toilet had a bit of a smell too. I compared it to Meininger in Hamburg and it wasn't up to the same same standards, but I had a good time in Cologne which made up for it. The service was average to good. ... more

I had a basic but sizeable room in Kolnotel. There were three rooms in a flatlet sharing the bathroom on the 2nd floor. The proprietor and family were all friendly and helpful. Very convenient location near to U-bahn and tram stops, also walkable to the centre, if you have the time. There are coffee shops and an Internet cafe nearby. ... more
