The Youth Hostel in Agerola (San Lazzaro), 650m above the Amalfi coast, was one of the first A.I.G. Hostels to open in Italy. Since 1949 it has occupied the original stables of the gatehouse to the long gone Castel Avitabile (1791-1850).

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Rooms were very clean, just a tad small, breakfast was very nice and the service was very good. The B&B is run by a brother and sister, who both speak english and are very helpful. Definately a nice place to stay, away from the maddening crowd. But you need a car to get there. ... more

Lovely views from the B&B! Good size room, bathroom and terrace overlooking the sea. The B&B have lovely breakfast room. Breakfast a bit poor, few slices of bread with ham and cheese, could do with more, jam, butter, croisant on the first day, peace of cake on the secon and no desert on the third. ... more
