The Mansour hostel is a great base from which to explore Jordan. Louis is so helpful. Any problems just speak to him (great English) and he'll do his best for you. So I am going abroad this next fall semester. Right now, it's down to a decision between the University of Jordan, in Amman, or AU Cairo in Egypt. I'm having trouble deciding, but I think I might go with Amman. With that in mind, I've been reading as much as I can find about it. I know the exchange rate ...

We started our stay in Amman by doing our laundry, which was well over due and having a hot shower. Yes another early night for a weary traveller. The next day consisted of more sight seeing. We headed off to see the Citadel first by foot but got a little lost and ended up getting a taxi. The bugger ...

A brilliant stay, i highly recommend the budget hotel. The only point for noting is there is a smoking area inside the hall way of the hotel and that can make the place smell of smoke.

My husband and I booked this great value hostel in advance of arriving in Jordan and couldn't be happier with the value. We had a shared dorm room which was a good size, with an ensuite.

We stayed in Amman for two nights. We visited the citadel and had a look around the Amphitheatre while we were there and the hotel was an easy walk from all of the locations that we visited.

Ok for cheap hostel staff very helpful but rooms are very basic. Close to mosque so can be very noisy with chanting, located in middle of downtown Amman close to most things.
