Mérida is the capital of the state of Yucatan, located at the northwestern tip of the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. It's also the largest city within the state and has about 800,000 inhabitants. The metropolitan area is a little bigger with 900,000 people and includes the municipalities of Uman and Kanasin.

This is a nice and cheap bed and breakfast. Jan (who speaks many languages) and his wife, Rosalinda, are great hosts and will help you with anything you need. The only bugs,were that I asked for a wake up 2 days in a row and did not get it,so I had to leave to late and had to wait for the bus of 10h30 am for my destination, as it seems one nighttime employee seems not to care at all about wake ups even though I asked him and reasked to check and told me it was written and would be ok. ... more
