Budget Accommodation in Cook Islands

A lovely, homely place to stay and relax. I will definitely stay there again if I go back to Rarotonga.

The office ladies were hardly ever their!
Everyone there had trouble with the office answering emails before hand. unhelpful and not welcoming at all. no towels no soap to wash hands with the shower was cold water most of the time.
NO hot water in the kitchen or even matches to light the gas stove !
There were charges that were not discussed before hand and general lack of care for the the people that were staying there at the time.
The only saving grace were the cleaners who did a fantastic job and were always friendly and had to answer all the questions the office couldn't or wouldn't.
I understand Varas is budget accommodation ,and as a second time i have stayed there it has gone backwards!
I will always stay at a backpackers as the people who you meet will make the experience totally worthwhile.
