Awesome Hostel! Great location about 10 minutes walking from Tahrir and Egyptian Museum! Hostel blew me away with cleanliness and professionalism! Staff was super helpful, particularly Hussein who helped me make the most of my 2 days in Cairo. They helped set up a Saqqara/Memphis/Giza tour for 250 EGP (with our guide & driver Samar who was great as well!) The A/C was messed up once but promptly fixed! Excellent WiFi, great facilities, and an great common room to meet the other great guests!
I stayed here a week and was very happy with the choice: The location is very interesting, not only because it is perfectly downtown, but because the house is also famous from the book "Jacoubian Building" by Ala al-Aswany. The street is noisy (but that is the case for almost every hostel in Cairo), but inside the hostel it was quiet. I liked my room very much: an original old room with a lot of atmoshere. Toilets and shower were always clean. The people working here were very friendly and helpful (but not too much ... in trying to sell me something). There could be a bit more choice and changes for breakfast, but this is not so important. I missed nothing.
I wrote a text about my stay in my blog (german language):
