This is the only deep harbor port in all of Cambodia and town was only created in 1964 as a last ditch effort of the French to hold onto their colonial possession before losing them.

bus from BKK ( bus terminal ), to aranyaprathet, cross poipet border, sisaphon, and head for either siem reap or battambang, and from here bus to phnom penh, down south to (maybe sihanoukville,etc) and exit back to thailand at Trat. also try thai airasia...they are on a promo.... dana ...
