Il 'Barrio', ovvero quartiere, dove il nostro ostello e' situato, e' uno dei pochi distretti, di origine coloniale, rimasti e persino l'edificio, dove si trova 'The Secret Garden', e' stato dichiarato patrimonio culturale dall'UNESCO. Recentemente i livelli di sicurezza nella citta' vecchia sono notevolmente migliorati in quanto squadre di polizia presidiano la zona 24 ore al giorno ed ora il nostro quartiere gode di livelli di sicurezza spesso anche maggiori di molte altre capitali internazionali. MA C'E' DELL'ALTRO All'ultimo piano del nostro edificio coloniale, accuratamente restaurato, c'e' una bellissima terrazza con vista panoramica della citta' vecchia dove sono situati il ristorante e il bar e dove vi potete rilassare leggendo un libro o dondolandovi su di una amaca, ascoltando della buona musica oppure semplicemente chiaccherando con il nostro personale ecuadoregno ed internazionale.
