Sandrock Holiday Hostel
Situato nel punto più settentrionale d'Irlanda, a Malin Head, l'ostello sorge a due passi da mare, spiaggia, rocce e da un molo da cui si può pescare. L'ostello consiste di due spaziose stanze da 10 letti ciascuno (ogni letto ha la propria lampada): le 2 stanze hanno WC e 2 docce ciascuna; una cucina ben attrezzata per il self catering in cui potrete cucinare granchi, aragoste, cozze, ostriche e pesce – il tutto acquistabile fresco nella locale cooperativa di pescatori– e il soggiorno "con vista", TV, video (vasta scelta di cassette) e radio, Cd ecc. . Dal soggiorno dell'ostello si ammira lo scenario incantevole e sempre diverso delle brumose colline del Donegal che si affacciano sulla baia (e se si è fortunati si può scorgere il delfino di passaggio…) Non lontano ci sono tre pubs, in cui servono anche pasti, aperti fino a tardi; un supermercato a 2 km e una famosa "spiaggia rialzata" piena di pietre semipreziose ! Si incontra gente amichevole del luogo durante le passeggiate, al pub…ovunque. Questa zona non è "folkloristica": è realtá vera!! All'ostello si possono affittare biciclette, ci sono indicazioni scritte in varie lingue per gite nei dintorni e se volete e sapete suonare, strumenti musicali a disposizione degli ospiti. Non c'è "coprifuoco"(si è liberi di rientrare a qualsiasi ora), ma non si accettano nuovi ospiti dopo le 22, a meno che non si sia attesi previo accordo telefonico. I letti prenotati devono essere confermati 24 ore prima dell'arrivo o la prenotazione verrá cancellata.
