Matara is one of the three districts in the Southern province of Sri Lanka. The coastal region is lovely with nice beaches, especially Polhena and Tangalle. The University of Ruhunu and the Uyanwatte stadium, which is the biggest in the southern province is located here.

Helloa! Vrijdag zijn we om 3.15 smorgens opgestaan, tuk tuk kwam ons ophalen om 3.45. Rond 5u vertrok de trein naar Matara (Zuiden), rond 12u, half 1 smiddags kwamen we aan in Matara, toen een tuk tuk naar Mirissa. Vrijdag, zaterdag en zondag morgen waren we in totaal met 10 andere vrijwilligers ...
