Cochabamba is the third-largest city of Bolivia, and the capital of the department by the same name. To travellers, Cochabamba is known best for its open-air market (claimed to be the largest of South America), and as an intermediate stop in overland journeys between La Paz and Santa Cruz de la Sierra.
