Naxos
Naxos is an island in Greece, with 429 square kilometres the biggest of the Cyclades group. It's located right in the centre of the Aegean Sea. Roughly 20,000 people live on the island and it's a popular tourist destination, including some fine beaches and ancient ruines as well. Something for everyone's taste.

We were greeted by Takis himself as he drove up on his moped. He showed us a couple of rooms to choose from and gave us a wonderful housewarming by giving us a carafe of his homemade wine and homemade raki (basically greek moonshine). We stayed a week and he was wonderful throughout. ... more

We stayed there for 3 nights. Within walking distance of the port, don't need a taxi. If you need to see the owner, you just ring the bell and he arrives, he lives across the road. Very good value for the price, very cheap in winter. ... more
