Heraklion is the capital of the Greek island of Crete. It is the largest city on the island and the 4th biggest in Greece with around 150,000 inhabitants in the city proper. The city is located in the central north of Crete.

Pretty good value and the breakfast was great (especially the greek yoghurt!). Room was cleaned daily and had a balcony wifi, and satellite TV, but air con/heating is an additional 4 euro per day which seemed a little steep - though we didn't really need it anyway so wasn't an issue.
