Ko Pha Ngan (also spelt Koh Phangan) was originally one of the primary backpacker islands in all of Thailand and famous for its monthly Full Moon Party. This place has everything many budget travellers want; cheap booze, cheap western food, cheap lodging and lots of crazy all night parties.

Had a truly wonderful time at Phangan Beach Resort. Staff are wonderful and Andy and his wife do a great job. Pool is very new and a definite feature of the resort. My only complaint is the opening hours of the restaurant and inside bar, it closes at 8pm every night so if you just want to chill out and play pool you can't. ... more
