Chiang Mai (Thai เชียงใหม่) is the largest city in the North Thailand region. It is roughly 700 kilometres north of Bangkok and is a great place to spend some days, or even more if you want to explore the region around the city and do some of the activities mentioned below.

We has a very pleasant stay here overall. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The only minor gripes we had are that the bed was way too hard, the shower was either HOT or cold and there were a lot of Mosquitoes around the public areas (guess that can't be helped though!). ... more
