We stayed in Amman for two nights. We visited the citadel and had a look around the Amphitheatre while we were there and the hotel was an easy walk from all of the locations that we visited.

Ok for cheap hostel staff very helpful but rooms are very basic. Close to mosque so can be very noisy with chanting, located in middle of downtown Amman close to most things.

For me It was almost perfect. I am not too much fussy about "starness". I just needed a place to sleep, with private bathroom preferably. And I had it in Sun Rise Hotel.
