The hotel is in a good position and handy for the centre of Kathmandu. I have given it a low review because of a couple of factors. [i] There was no hot water in the shower, no kitchen staff available [gone away] and the mattress felt like it had been filled with bricks. ... more

Staff very friendly. Much advice available. And lots of help with getting TIMS and othe permits if you are trekking. rRooms very comfy. Bathroom could have been a bit better appointed, but for Nepal standard, it wasn't bad. Beware the 23% extra on the quoted accommodation / food / drink prices . ... more

I went to Kathmandu today. They are having a sale starting tomorrow (or today for summit club members). I brought a pullover jumper, thick socks and some merino gloves. All for $80. Not bad since they are usually quite expensive. It's starting to get warm in Perth, can't wait to get to the cold weather ...
