Torun is a city in the central north of Poland with around 200,000 inhabitants. The total metropolitan area has about 300,000 inhabitants. Its medieval part of the city was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997.

As well as already mentioned, i personally think Wroclaw is a really cool city, and the smaller towns of Zamosc and Torun are highly recomended as is the castle at Malbork. I'd skip warsaw. If you want to visit a second city, try Gdansk, Torun or Wroclaw, Those are much prittier and laidback than Warsaw. You will not get yourself bored with four days in Krakow. If you're in a hury you can fit all sightseeings in one day. But then you will not have time to speak to the Poles ...
