Typical capsule hotel, if a bit shabby. But overall, a good value for a place to stay that's close to many of the important temples and such. Only problem is that it's not a hostel, in that you won't be meeting a lot of other tourists. That, and the mattress was kind of thin. But for what it is, this is a great, cheap way to stay in Kyoto. ... more

Not easy to find but very central once we did. We enjoyed the simple Japanese style room, got free tea, and though there was no en-suite shower the downstairs shower was in quite a beautiful and private room. ... more

It's a capsule hotel, friendly staff, in walking distance to most of the temples on the east side of Kyoto => therefore a good location for travellers who don't mind to sleep in a capsule.
