Magnetic Island
Magnetic Island is an island in the Great Barrier Reef, 10 kilometres off the coast of Queensland near Townsville. It has become popular as a holiday destination with lots of hotels and resorts catering to visitors. A 27 km² national park has some nice walking tracks and lots of wildlife to explore.

Best place to see koalas?
Hey michael, Well apart from the obvious like australia zoo(went yesterday...really cool) i've seen them in the wild at noosa national park on the east coast and on magnetic island just of the coast at townsville....best time to see them is late afternoon as they sleep for 20 hours at a time ... -

hi scott things to see on the east coast are. cape tribulation,cairns,magnetic island with van can be expensive to take there,whitsundays,noosa,brisbane,byron bay,nimbin,coffs harbour for really cheap dive course 4 day only $345 and padi,sydney,melbourne.
