The first thing I want to say is that the web page and the actual rooms is a little misleading. Whereas the pictures depict rooms that are large, which they are, many of them are very dark and afford little in the way of scenery from the windows at all since construction has progresed since and views of the Mekon are no longer there.
The rooms have good a/c, but found it a little weird to have windows with no glass, and only shutters that barely closed. (The bed was large, comfortable, with large pillows). Not this this was a problem for keeping the room cool, but it sure didn't do anything to keep the outside noises, or the mosquito's out, even though mesh curtains and bed mosquito net is provided out. TYhe noise, although nothing major, just some construction noises in the a.m, and Beer trucks emptying their loads into a storage area right behind the guesthouse.
The staff were very accommodating, and were helpful in everything I asked of them be it Laundry, directions to get around, points of interest and so on. As a single traveller, I found my room (#4) to be very adequate. Rooms were made up quickly when I left, but they were not so quick to empty out the trash or provide toiletries when needed, but asked for.
The location is ideal for someone not wanting to be "In the middle of everything". A short walk can get you to restaurants and Bars, but it was a good 30 minutes into the center of town.
