The strong wall around the fort protected us from the Tsunami.. There are 7 bedrooms with private bath. All rooms have a fan and a mosquito net. There are two sunny communal balconies available for guests' use. Home cooked meals including Sri Lankan and Chinese dishes are available at reasonable rates while tours around Sri Lanka can also be arranged. We serve europian breakfast and Sri Lankan as well. The coastal town of Galle is 116 kilometres from Colombo by road or rail, down the southwest coast. Both routes are picturesque, following the coastline closely for much of the way. With the development in past years, the town has grown greatly and spreads into the hinterland but the Fort or the Rampart is the slow-beating heart of Galle’s history.
