I actually did the reverse on the weekend. If you are going to take your time maybe aim to stop in Coffs Harbour... its about half way and a pretty nice spot... Maybe on your first day stop at Port Stephens/Nelson Bay for lunch and power on from there... stay the night in Coffs and spend a night in Byron ...
