Located on the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia, Kuala Terengganu is the capital of the state of Terengganu. It's popular with travellers in Malaysia, if only because Kuala Terengganu's Sultan Mahmud Airport (IATA:TGG) is the main arrival point for travellers heading to either the Perhentian Islands or Redang Island.
