Hey hey!

My partner and I are looking to travel for minimum of 6 months. We don't have much experience traveling other countries so any advice or recommendations welcome!

A little about us: Easy going, english speaking, thirty year old females. Foodies. Don't drink. We enjoy beautiful nature, music and shows, architecture, beaches, museums, videography, photography and really GOOD food. We want to travel to destinations that are warm climate, gay friendly, and educational- maybe we could even help out somewhere with our technical skills background or even work on a farm. Our goal is to learn and experience true cultural while surviving off of little money we have- so avoid all the tourist spots.

Destinations we are interested in:
Central America- Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua to Costa Rica
Southern Europe- Greece and Turkey. Italy (possibly)
Asia; Hong Kong- Burma, Nepal, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, Singapore. Philippines (possibly)
Australia would be awesome but I think its expensive to fly in/out as well as lodging.

Alright guys- thanks for reading. Now lets hear your feedback!!

for the third leg of journey you can plan as follows:

India ---> Nepal---> Bhutan ----> Myanmaar ---> Laos---->Thailand ----> Vietnaam ---->Cambodia ----> Malaysia ----> Singapore ----> Phillipines --- Hong kong

P.S: I have added two more places i.e. India and Bhutan.

let me know if you have any queries, would be happy to help.

Hi sf_v,

Welcome to Travellerspoint!

I would suggest either reading the blog of or getting in touch with ladiesofleisure:

I don't know that their year long trip covered quite the same countries but they had some adventures you might be interested in and also managed to get some volunteer work rebuilding houses—with no experience!

And yes, financially Australia is very different to many of the other countries on your list so expect it to be a rude shock after travelling cheaper Asian countries.

Good luck with your planning :)
