Travel Forums System Talk Subscribe to threads link

Apologies if this has been mentioned already and I've missed it (I've been away from TP for a couple of weeks due to travels) but is it possible to have the 'subscribe to this thread' link at the top of a thread, instead of (or as well as) at the bottom? It seems easier and more logical to have it at the top so that you don't have to scroll all the way down the page if you want to subscribe to a thread.

My logic of moving it down the bottom was to try and get the content higher on the page. My feeling is that mostly subscribing without responding is actually a fairly minor usecase. I think I've only done it a handful of times and then, only really as a moderator trying to keep an eye on the thread ;) It felt really overly prominent right up the top.

Happy to take others' opinions on that though.

I see what you're saying, but I often subscribe to a thread if for example I'm thinking of going to that destination and am interested in responses, but I can't yet contribute. Perhaps it's just a case of me getting used to it not being at the top. Would it take up that much space though? As you already have the 'last post' link along that line at the top.

Ah well, it depends on the thread. If it's a thread with a lot of pages, it can mean the line spilling over into two on mobile devices. That's what caused me to remove it. I wanted to make it a bit cleaner on a phone. Alternatively, I can hide it when the browser window is at the smaller size.
