My flight get to Chiang mai on the 1st September plan on staying about 7 days as there is a lot I want to do there then maybe go to laos but it will be the wet season there so not sure if it's worth the trip. Them down to Cambodia and across to Bangkok. But the places I go are just ideas atm think it may all change once I get there depending on who I meet and what's recommend.
nice to hear from you.this wud be my first to chiang mai etc.dono where to start from.still looking for accommodation options.btw someone told me the train ride from bkk to chiang mai is good.on second thoughts I think it cud be a waste of time and energy spending the whole night in a slow moving train.anyways hope we cud say hello in the land of smiles.

been to huahin and phuket already. thinking of kohsamui and chiang mai this time.what should be the itinerary.any help appreciated.cheers.
I have been to kohsamui and chiang mai last year, and it was amazing! As it was raining season in Thailand and there's not so many beach activities in kohsamui, and it was just a small island, so we just spent two days looking around, and then back to Bangkok, and flew to chiang mai the next day. I loved chiang mai, it was really a nice place to see. As we didnt have much time for chiang mai, so we joined a one day tour in chiang mai (1000 THB / person), and it really was a nice trip. We have hiked to some beautiful mountains and rafted on the river, but my favorite part of this trip is elephant-riding. I love elephant! We lived in the ancient town in chiang mai and in the evening we went to the largest hotpot buffet out of the ancient town. I would love to visit chiang mai and chiang rai someday, cause we havent seen the temples and other interesting places & things in chiang mai.
