Hello! My husband and I are renting a car after we leave Lisbon and taking a road trip through the Alentejo and then the Algarve, in June. I have only been able to allot 2 days in each, with an additional day to get from the Algarve to Setubal just to stay the night before taking an early flight out from Lisbon to Seville. I hadn't anticipated even doing this, until my brother suggested we would love it. The more I have read the more I feel like we need a lot more time in this area, as we LOVE wine and we love the beach! Keep in mind, that our main focus was to be Andalusia and we have 28 total days to see a lot. But I wanted to mainly see if anyone had suggestions of where to stay in these areas. The tentative plan is as follows:

Leave Lisbon as early as possible and drive North to see Obidos and perhaps Nazare (are these two towns worth driving North for? Otherwise we'd just leave Lisbon and head straight towards Evora which would make for a lot less driving time)

Our goal is to get to wherever we will be based for 2 nights. I want to stay in a country house, since we will be in wine country. I can't decide between a place right outside of Evora or a place near Borba (I prefer the latter, but feel the location of the one near Evora may be better?)

We will be taking day trips to the surrounding areas.

Points of interest for us in the surrounding area: Evora, Estremoz, Borba, Monsaraz.

We will then head South to Lagos for 2 nights and see places near there such as Salema, Sagres etc.

Finally, we will head somewhere closer to Lisbon (Setubal Pousada perhaps) for one night, just so that we can be closer to the siport and don't have a long trip before catching our flight to Sevilla. One question is, we'd like to stop in Comporta on the way there to hit the beach- is this worth the visit?!

Any help and insight from those that have personal expierence, would be much appreciated! Thank you! ;)
