Travel Forums Central/South America & The Caribbean Hi There. Landing in Bogota...Hotel?

Hey. I used to hang around here quite a bit at one time. Been off the road for several years.

But I'm back Bay BEE!

Landing in Bogota on my way down to a posting in Peru. Haven't been there for a long time and wonder if anyone knows a hotel I can go to that's decent. Doesn't have to be fancy. Just has to have a bed without bugs and has to let me in at one in the morning.

Any ideas?

Man, it's nice to post here again.

Hi Piecar! Nice to see you on here again.

I was in Bogota last month and I stayed in some decent places. If you want somewhere near the airport at the time of the night, Hotel Habitel is very close and they will pick you up - their shuttles run every 15 mins to and from the airport. It's nice enough, very convenient and good value I thought. I also stayed at the Best Western in Chico which was really good and the area itself is great. If you want somewhere a little cheaper than those, I can recommend the Casona Del Patio in Chapinero - it's a nice, friendly little guesthouse in a good area.

I would recommend "French Guiana". It may possibly give you the ideal atmosphere where you look for.

Been there in Bogota a few years back. Can't remember the name of the hotel I stayed in.. but it was decent, clean and affordable. As far as I can remember, it's near JW Marriott Hotel Bogota. I also agree with CarrieLavigne, French Guana is a cool place too according to my fellow travelers.
