I'm travelling to Vancouver in March this year (2004) and planning to spend approx. 2 weeks before travelling down the west coast of USA (Seattle, San Fran, Los Angelies etc.) Can anyone reccommend any forms of transport (cheapest possible excluding flights) So far I've been told to get a Grayhound bus, but don't know much about this service/cost/length of journeys/what to expect etc.
Also What sort of prices should I expect to pay for this service.
Many thanks in advance.
for Vancouver to Seattle

for Seattle to Los Angeles
Do you have a drivers license? Considere renting an economy car...often less than 20.00 a day and even with cost of gas, is about the same as bus travel, plus you have the ability to go places the buses don't go. Buses will take you from point A to point B, but America does not have mass transit so you are stuck in cities using taxis, city buses when available or walking long distances. There is so much to see on the trip from Seattle to Los Angeles, it would be a shame to be on a bus and just drive by getting only a glimpse of the areas.
