Just wondering what people's thoughts were on my itinerary for my solo trip to Europe.

My inter ail ticket is for a month and it leaves me an extra 2 nights in a place; where would people suggest out of my cities;

Paris - 3 nights
Brugges - 2 nights
Gent - 2 nights
Frankfurt - 1 night
Berlin - 4 nights
Prague - 3 nights
Vienna - 3 nights
Munich - 3 nights
Venice - 3 nights
Bologna - 2 nights
Modena - 2 nights
Florence - 3 nights
Rome - 4 nights

Thank you

Hey, not bad your plan.... Marseille and Montpelier in south of France, Bern and Geneve in Switzerland, Amsterdam in Holland...;)

Best of luck

Not a lot in Bruges so maybe 1 night?

When in Florence, take a side trip to Pisa which is not far away.

Some tickets like the Uffizi Gallery (Florence) and the Leaning Tower of Pisa need to be bought online beforehand.

More time in Rome if you can manage it.

How does your month of InterRail travel work? You have 35 nights, plus 2 is 37 & you have to get back home.

I agree that 2 nights is more than enough in Bruges; in fact I would skip it entirely and spend more time in Ghent which is much nicer. I wouldn't bother with Frankfurt, unless you're stopping there to break up the journey. Also perhaps spend 2 nights in Munich as that's probably enough, and spend the extra night somewhere else such as Rome or Venice. Pisa is definitely worth a visit as Cyberia said; it's not essential to book tickets in advance for the tower though - I turned up without booking and there was barely a wait. It's good to book in advance if you're going in high season though.

Fabulous. Will take it all on board.

Ye Frankfurt is more of a stopgap.

Will cut a night in Brugges in that case

Has been; I will be in Italy for the last leg and hopefully time it correctly, so ill just have to buy one extra ticket from Florence to Rome and then I fly back.

Thank you all.

Nice trip. All cities though. Spend your 2 spare nights in the country somewhere - in the alps maybe?

Good point, although will hopefully be doing a repeat trip in the coming years, fitting in other European gems I couldn't this time

Just looking at Brno, for a night or two. I hear good things, anybody been there?
