St Christopher's Inns are usually a good option. I stayed at the one in Shepherds Bush but there are 6 others in London. I would recommend Le Montclair in Paris as it's in Montmarte not far from Sacre Coeur.

Good luck with your planning. Enjoy your trip!

Use the Accommodation link at the top of the page. Also consider "couch surfing":

Not sure if I'm too late, but last time I went I researched for the cheapest ones here: http://www.hostelbookers.com/hotels/england/london/. Hope that helps ;)

Just posted this somewhere else:

One particularly cheap (it's all relative) place to stay in central London is Carr-Saunders Hall. It's a university halls of residence (part of the London School of Economics) just off Tottenham Court Road and very handy for the tube (Goodge Street, Warren Street), Euston Station, Regent's Park, the British Museum in Russell Square and Oxford Street. The only drawback is that you can only stay there when it's not term-time (a month around Easter, a month around Christmas and a couple of months or so in the summer). See their own website here.
