I've recently booked my hostel for Sydney and went for Wake Up. I done it all last week and received my confirmation email not long after, its been over a week and the funds haven't left my account yet, just wondering if its taken a while for anyone else? I've emailed Wake Up and just waiting for a reply back.
I suppose it depends where you booked and what their booking conditions are; on Travellerspoint for example, only a small deposit is required to secure your booking at Wake Up, not the full amount. If the booking system we use is unable to charge the card it is generally because there has been an issue with the card details provided, so the booking is cancelled and a notification sent advising of the issue.
If you booked directly with Wake Up, they will be the ones to confirm the status and chase payments.

They emailed me back today.. They don't take payment untill you check in they just need to pre authorise it
