It all started Monday, April 4th of 2005 approximately twenty five minutes past two, Pacific Standard Time. The Travellers Point chat room was a alive with chatter. People of the world talked of many subjects, people laughed and cryed laughing...
... This is my story, names have been changed to protect the innocent. My name is... Joe. The following is a story of mystery, and suspence. Love gained and love lost. It is said the story of "Troy" is the greatest love story ever told... okay fair enough, then this is the second greatest.
On one, non-descript, early spring morning a soft beam of light trickled through the open window. Close by, a small grey cat was soaking up the suns warm rays. I approached the cat with a soft grace to rival any mongoose.
Staring up at me with eyes of jade the cat motioned for me to lift it into my arms. I knelt slowly, taking in the warmth of the sun on my face, certainly a day of days!
I slide my left under the cats belly, feeling elated from the sensation of warm fur on my skin I hoisted the cat into the air. As not to frighten the feline I placed my right hand under her for support.
My mistake soon came to realisation as I felt the warm and very wet poo filling the crevasses if my right hand. Love slipping away from my heart as fast as the cat slipped away from my hand to the floor. "Holy Sh*t! I bellowed for all to hear.
The feline and myself parted ways that day, she running for the basement. Me, running for the washroom. No amount of soap that day could cleanse my shattered heart and nasty hand.
And by the words of Paul Harvey: "And now you know, the rest of the story".
I leave you now, the people of TP, the people of doubt and sexual inuendo... there were no fingers and no molestation in this tale of sorrow.
