rastacourage has indicated that this thread is about Europe

My friends and I are traveling Europe (May-June). We have all bought Global Eurail Passes, but it has come to our attention that it costs money to make reservations.

I was hoping to get some more information about this system. When on the Eurail site, I could do searches that enabled me to find trains that did not require reservations. Does this mean this won't cost any extra money than what I've already paid for the Pass? Also, how full do they get? Like is it really just a better idea to reserve it based on the massive amount of tourists?

Any tips on saving money and getting places quickest would be immensely helpful, or just anything about how eurail passes work.
THanks!

I guess Global Eurail & interrail are the same thing & if so there are some links to info in this older thread... or the Main in seat 61 link in there might help anyway.
