Hi all!
I'm Emily and have just joined Travellerspoint for a bit of advice! I'm hoping to go to New Zealand for on a working visa and recently found out about BUNAC. They seem to offer a pretty good package and also group flights so you get to meet people before you fly! However, I can't find many reviews on them and how successful the group flights were, or if worth the money. So what I want to know is has anyone used BUNAC? Or is going to? Did you/are you using group flight option? Or has any more information?
I'm hoping to go to New Zealand at the end of the year/ beginning of next year. I notice alot of posts are on Australia, so any help on New Zealand would be great!
Thanks, Emily x

Hi Emily

I used Bunac for my Canada working holiday many years ago and they were great. I flew with the group from Heathrow and it was a good way of meeting people. However I'm not sure there is any need to do it for NZ, as it's so geared up towards backpackers when you get there, so you will easily meet people and find your feet. I went to NZ on my own and met so many people, as there are lots of travellers doing working holidays over there so plenty of people in the same position.

Hi Emily,

I came out to NZ using BUNAC in September last year, they made everything really easy and sorted all of my visa documents for me, and set me up with my first 7 nights accommodation (think this was a small additional cost but can't really remember). I didn't use the group flight, mainly because it was quite a bit more expensive than the flights I managed to book myself. If you were only going to use the group flight to meet people I'd say that you don't really need to as you'll meet plenty of people as soon as you get checked into the hostel. If you've got anymore questions about NZ don't hesitate to ask :) x
