The problem with Bhutan is that a far as I know a visa is something like $250 per person per day!!! And it's only possible to visit as part of a government organised tour. Can anyone here confirm (or refute) that?
The $250 is the usual charge the government imposes on a per day basis, which should included accommodations, board and lodging and everything else on a tour to their country. I heard it is $200 per day during the low season.
And yes, you have to go through Bhutanese government accredited travel agencies, and ride the national carrier, Druk Air.
