Where does creativity come from?

Letting go.

Innate talent. I do not think it is something that can be learned.

I believe that creativity comes from the imagination ... being able to visualize before things actually happen

I agree that creativity stems from the imagination. Whether lucky or unlucky, the end product never resembles the my imagination's vision. I've learned that I just have to jump in with both feet and follow my hands. What begins heading in one direction usually take a right turn at Cleveland, disappears into the nearest tunnel and emerges as something completely different (and totally unexpected).

Creativity acts as a catalyst. Circumstances can allow it to unfold in its own way

My feelings exactly. I dont have a creative bone in my body. I cant get creative even if I tried, but maybe if I needed to be creative to survive, that could be a different story...

Maybe that all depends on how you define "creativity". In the most general sense, being creative is synonomous with something artistic - painting, writing, dancing, and so on.

But, as an accountant, could you say that you're creative with numbers at, say, tax time? I don't mean that you do anything illegal, but rather that you start off with a bunch of receipts and slips and what-have-you and work to find the best possible outcome. That's pretty creative, because it means you have to think above and beyond just plugging in a bunch of numbers.

mmm. i think it can be learned. i feel like you can do anything that you want to learn. some people adapt to it faster than others, but i think it takes practice to improve an such. i know that i am no artist, but i appreciate beautiful paintings, music, people... etc.

I suppose you could be creativly appreciative!. Creativity is possibly the ability to look at something in a totally new way and out of that create something unique, possibly.
